CRD Presentation
at "Daron" Lodge of Knights of Vartan
On the evening of April 12, 2002, Arman Cingoz and Anahid Yeremian presented
a brief overview of Armenian science and Armenia's Cosmic Ray Division
(CRD) before members and prospective members of the "Daron"
Lodge of the Knights of Vartan and Daughters of Vartan in the San Francisco
Bay Area.
Anahid Yeremian, a Physicist at the Stanford Linear
Accelerator Center, and chair of the Support Committee for Armenia's
Cosmic Ray Division (SCACRD), spoke after the dinner banquet. She described
how she became involved in promoting science in Armenia, and how she
came to know the Cosmic Ray Division (CRD) scientists in a presentation
entitled "Discovering Really Good Science on the way to the
Summit of Aragats"

After the dinner, Anahid presented a picture of the station on Mt. Aragats
toCommander Antranik Cingoz as a token of friendship between the Cosmic
Ray Division in Armenia and the Knights of Vartan, Daron logdge.

Arman
Cingoz, a Senior Honors Physics student at University California, Berkeley,
who has already received graduate school acceptances from prestigious
universities such as Cornell, Berkeley, and UC Santa Barbara delivered
an illustrated presentation during the closed meeting for the Members
only. In his presentation titled "Cosmic Ray Division - Preserving
World Class Science in Armenia", Arman talked about the accomplishments
of the CRD, their international collaborations, their vision for the
future and the Diaspora involvement in that process.
Both presentations were well received. The Evening was fun for everyone.
